How to use codes
Pattern material lists often use color codes because names can be inconsistent. Match the code system to the beads you own before buying or substituting.
HEX is a display reference
HEX values help the website render colors, but they are not a guarantee of how a bead looks in real lighting. Use them for comparison, not as a physical color promise.
Substitution notes
If a color is unavailable, compare both hue and brightness. Replacing a dark outline color with a lighter shade can change the readability of the whole design.
Practical tips
- Search by code, name, or HEX.
- Switch collections before copying codes.
- Use nearby colors as substitutions only after checking the pattern area.
